Helena Krobath

Helena Krobath is a sound artist and educator exploring ways that information is created, communicated, and made meaningful. She uses listening, recording, and composition to consider infrastructures and narratives in places like ports, neighbourhoods and nature zones. Her sound art has appeared in festivals, radio specials, and publications. She recently facilitated a youth mentorship program using audio storytelling to convey renter experiences and has presented many workshops on working with audio field recording. Helena volunteers with the Vancouver Tenants Union and is a co-host of the Soundscape Show on Vancouver Co-op Radio.
